Buy My Eye is a set-fee interior design service that is perfect for the design enthusiast who wants advice from an experienced interior designer without committing to a full-scale contract. We offer the option of our in-home, in-office Buy My Eye Onsite Consultation or our online Buy My Eye E-Decorating Services.
Buy My Eye is the perfect service, whether you would like to furnish your home from scratch or make some needed improvements and updates to your existing furnishings, or if you are planning a move and need to know what to take or not and where your furniture will go in the new space. If you are in the process of purchasing a new home and have it down to a few choices, we will come with you to the places you are considering and lend a helpful eye, so you can envision the possibilities and make the right choice. In this venue, we can also meet your architect and contractor onsite to ascertain possibilities for the space.
Select a 2, 3, 4, 6 or 8-hour session and receive a one-on-one consultation with a professional interior designer who meets with you in your space with tools of the trade in hand. We focus directly on your goals and answer as many of your unique design questions as allows in our time together. We take time during the session to make sure we are covering all your requests, and that you are happy with the progress. We direct you to the best brand-name catalogs, local shops and online resources. We structure an action plan to make designing your home less overwhelming, so you can finish the job on your own with confidence -- at your own pace and budget -- and also have fun doing it!
In addition, within a week after our consultation you will receive a Design Summary of our meeting via email containing (where applicable) floor plan and/or elevation sketches, paint colors, fabric options, notes on what to buy and where, or any other items we had discussed in your session that help you bring your vision to life.
Our convenient online services are similar to our onsite consulting, yet are virtual. We bring you the professional expertise of a New York interior designer right to your home. We apply the same principles and dedication to your vision. First, we schedule a half-hour phone conversation with you to determine your goals and priorities, and discuss your project in detail. Then we work independently to create solutions and plans for your space based on the requirements you've provided. When needed, we check in with you during the course of our progress either by phone or email. Upon completion we will email you a personalized Design Summary along with the corresponding plans for your space. We will also send you paint color chips in the mail. Our easy-to-follow notes make it simple for you to execute our design plan on your own.
No, Buy My Eye is for any decorating project, whether it is a "spruce up," a small starter apartment, or a large-scale renovation. We focus on exactly what you want to accomplish.
Yes. Some of our clients focus just on one aspect of their project at a time. For example, we can choose all the paint colors for the home during one session, and draperies or furniture selection at another. Other clients want us to spend a session shopping with them for furniture or accessories. Also, if you are looking at several new home choices we can help you envision the design possibilities of each, and meet with your architect and contractor onsite. We will focus on any aspect of design you wish to explore.

Buy My Eye is a division of our comprehensive full-service interior design firm, Perianth. If you would like us to implement or expand your plan, or undertake any additional design work, the seamless collaboration of our two companies allows us to easily do so. However, there is never any obligation to engage us for additional services.
During each Buy My Eye session and the Buy My Eye online project process, we have various points at which we make sure we are covering all your requests, and that you are happy with the progress thus far. It is rare that our clients are dissatisfied, but should you feel something was missing or not addressed, please let us know.
You can purchase a Buy My Eye consultation for a residence, commercial office, retail store and any other design venue you would like to pursue.
Absolutely. Buy My Eye makes the perfect gift for friends, family or business associates, and are great for any occasion including housewarmings, new baby, weddings, birthdays, Mother's Day, and more.
A 50% deposit is required to hold your onsite appointment date. The balance is due upon completion of the consultation. Full payment is required to begin your e-decorating project. Sales tax will be applied to each session.
The initial payment is non-refundable if you cancel your onsite appointment. However, if you reschedule within 30 days the initial payment will be credited towards the applicable consultation fee. Should you wish to cancel your e-decorating project, you may do so within 48 hours of submission.
There is no travel fee for Manhattan residents and parts of Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. There is a fee of $80.00 per hour for travel time in a 90-minute radius past the non-fee area. Please inquire about travel fees for areas beyond that.
All Buy My Eye consultations include a short follow-up phone call.
